Behind every blood donation is a real person—a parent, a child, a neighbor—whose life depends on it. This event exists because the need for blood never pauses. Just like Central Texans rely on food, water, electricity, and first responders, they need us too. We Are Blood is a vital part of this community ensuring that lives are saved at local hospitals daily with a steady, reliable blood supply.
The Legacy of Life Awards & Benefit supports the essential work behind that reality:
- Improved operational capacity with new donor centers
- Expanded access with additional mobile drive buses
- Adopting innovative blood processing technologies
- Ongoing outreach, donor recruitment, and retention
- Improved patient care with cell therapy and testing
- Ensuring we meet ever-growing needs of local hospitals
It’s also a moment to publicly recognize the donors, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and partners whose dedication sustains this lifeline for our community.
