Longhorns Save Lives

The University of Texas at Austin stands at the center of our community. It is an institution that attracts some of the best and the brightest from around the state (and beyond), building upon a legacy of Longhorns who strengthen our community. From championship teams to Pulitzer Prize winning writers to directors who define genres and so much more, UT students have helped build upon our community. And their contributions only continue!

Welcome Back, Students!

As school comes back to session, We Are Blood is excited to welcome back Longhorns for the fall semester. And we look forward to seeing both fresh and familiar Longhorn donors at one of our upcoming UT drives.

Catch us at UT Marketplace on September 16 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Speedway Plaza to learn more about blood donation, sign up for an upcoming blood drive, and stock up on some serious swag to share your commitment to saving lives locally!

Blood drives make it easy to donate based on your schedule and availability. See below for when We Are Blood will be on the University of Texas campus.

Austin Strong

Earlier this year, the resilient and giving Longhorn spirit shone bright. In the aftermath of the March shooting in downtown Austin, the University of Texas at Austin community came out en masse to help where help was urgently needed. Students, alumni, staff, and fans showed up in many ways, including lining up to donate blood and sharing the importance of blood donations with others in their social reach.

Please help to keep our local blood supply strong by continuing to show up in one of several ways this semester:

  • Donate: Can’t make it to one of the above drives? Consider scheduling an appointment at our North Lamar location. Find simple instructions on how to get to this location from campus via bus HERE.
  • Volunteer: Unable to donate but still want to help? Learn more about our volunteer opportunities or internship program HERE.
  • Host: Are you a member of a UT group or organization that wants to host a blood drive? Learn more about hosting a mobile drive HERE.
