We are so excited to announce that Battle of the Badges is back this year. From July 1st through July 9th APD, AFD & Austin-Travis County EMS will be going head-to-head to see who can donate the most blood.
You can cast your “Vote” by scheduling an appointment at any of our 3 donor centers or mobile drives (full schedule below) – between July 1st and July 9th to give blood. When you check-in for your appointment you will vote for Police, Fire, or EMS.
Your votes and donation will determine who takes home this year’s trophy and bragging rights for the next year!
We didn’t even talk about the best part! When you donate at one of the mobile drives below or vote at a center you will receive your own Battle of the Badges t-shirt!
Here is your checklist:
- Make an appointment online (or call 512-206-1266) at your chosen mobile drive or donation center. (Appointments are required.)
- Eat a full meal and stay super hydrated the day of your appointment.
- If donating at one of our 3 centers, let the front desk know that you’re there for BATTLE OF THE BADGES when you check-in–and make sure you tell them which department you’re voting for (Police, Fire, or EMS)!
