And just like that, 2017 has arrived!
We are grateful for all that 2016 brought us: countless lives saved, a new name & brand, new and returning donors–and perhaps more than anything, affirmation that we live and work within the most extraordinary community.
We’re proud to say that because of donors like you, we were able to provide more than 56,000 blood products to Central Texas patients in 2016. Do you know how special that is? It’s hard to say how many people we’ve impacted as a result. Some patients may have only used one unit of blood, others may have needed 10 or more. What we do know is that many lives were saved this year because of you.
To celebrate 2017, we’ve brought back a donor favorite: a Franklin Barbecue giveaway! Make sure you check out the details below, and keep following along to see what else we might have up our sleeves this year.
WIN TICKETS TO A PRIVATE FRANKLIN BBQ DINNER
For the second year in a row, we will be hosting 30 donors and their guests at a private donor appreciation party at Franklin Barbecue on February 11th.
- For the first half of January, anyone who donates will receive TWO entries into the giveaway.
- During the second half of January, anyone who donates will receive ONE entry into the giveaway.
On Friday, February 3rd we will randomly select 30 winners (and each winner will be able to bring one guest!).
PLATELET DONATIONS IN SOUTH AUSTIN
We are now accepting platelet donations at our South Austin donor center. Appointments are highly encouraged and can be made by calling or emailing Cathey Holaway at 512.206.1231 or cholaway@weareblood.org.
