The Power of Nurses
Join We Are Blood in acknowledging the power of nurses. National Nurses’ Week runs Wednesday, May 6 to Tuesday, May 12 – kicking off on National Nurses’ Day and concluding on Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Celebrating the dedication and contribution of nurses in a week that breaks from the traditional work week is appropriate, serving as a reminder of the often-unconventional hours and the unexpected spaces where nurses impact. In clinics, schools, assisted living facilities, and beyond, nurses provide highly skilled knowledge, comfort, and care.
Nurses make up the clinical services team at We Are Blood. This group specializes in therapeutic blood donations, catering to individuals requiring medical phlebotomy. Partnering with local physicians and hospitals, they may perform specialized procedures at the North Lamar donor center or in the field, as is the case with our work with sickle cell patients at Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Extraordinary Care. Extraordinary Caregivers.
Nurses provide extraordinary lifesaving care and make daily activities possible. Their impact is not only appreciated and celebrated during National Nurses Week but throughout the year.
We extend a special thanks to our amazing team of nurses who play a critical role in the lives of local patients. Each day you provide care for patients in difficult and even critical situations. You help to lead our organization and community by expanding patient services within the area. And, most of all, you inspire your We Are Blood teammates daily.
Nurses are vital to our mission to save lives locally. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without each of you. Thank you for your contributions and dedication!
