Jordan and Simon Dulac’s story at We Are Blood is more than just one of professional commitment – it’s a testimony of love, community, and shared purpose.

Jordan’s initial exposure to We Are Blood came during her employment at a local hospital partner in Austin, where she interacted daily with We Are Blood staff making deliveries. Her official journey began in 2021 when she joined the We Are Blood team, driven by a passion for blood banking and transfusion medicine. “I was so excited to start working here,” Jordan recalls warmly.

Shortly after she started, Simon, her then boyfriend, followed suit. “Once I heard how great it was, I came and applied,” Simon explains, with a smile in his voice. His interview even included a special twist – he shared his commitment and passion for the organization along with his plans to propose to Jordan.

For the Dulacs, their experience at We Are Blood goes beyond professional fulfillment; it’s personal. “The mission and our shared experience keep us highly motivated,” Jordan explains.

From the beginning, Jordan and Simon felt embraced by their colleagues, who quickly became like family. “Our coworkers feel like a little family here,” Jordan shares warmly. This sense of connection was apparent when they attend the wedding, but more so before that when their colleagues surprised them after returning from getting their marriage license on Valentine’s Day. “They had the whole break room decorated,” Jordan recounts fondly. “It’s a memory that he and I will cherish forever.”

At We Are Blood, Jordan and Simon Dulac have found not just a workplace, but a place of support, celebration, and shared values. Their story is a reminder that love and service can thrive side by side, making a meaningful impact both professionally and personally.
