Trey Bueche, the owner of Bat City Awards & Apparel, has been partnering with We Are Blood for over 20 years. Specializing in screenprinting, embroidery, and other promotional products, Bueche knows the importance of having a strong brand in the community.
“I like driving down the road and the car in front of me has one of those We Are Blood drops with the number of gallons they have donated. I think that is just so cool.”
What started as a small partnership for corporate awards has grown. Bat City was instrumental in We Are Blood’s rebranding, which meant the organization needed to get new promotional items to spread the word. The partnership continues with Bat City providing the t-shirts and swag giving out at donor centers and mobile drives throughout the year and exclusive items available only in the donor rewards store.
Because every donation can save up to three lives, and every donor gets a shirt, that means every shirt is saving up to three lives. Bueche reacted, “It’s great the hear that every shirt that we produce saves 3 lives.”
Seeing the shirts he prints in the community is a source of pride.
As the owner of a local business that supports the visibility of other local businesses and organizations, Bueche is proud to play a part in motivating the community to help protect Central Texas’s blood supply.
He shares, “Something I’m proud of is the fact that we live in a community that is so embracing of helping everybody. Even when it’s not times of disaster, but especially when it is times of disaster, to know that people will step up and make a difference.”
