Williamson County Steps Up to Save Lives

Every day, Central Texas physicians and first responders help our neighbors in need and see firsthand the impact of We Are Blood donors. In fact, Williamson County EMS carries lifesaving whole blood on some of their emergency vehicles to ensure individuals who have endured a trauma can receive a blood transfusion before arriving at a hospital, exponentially increasing a patient’s chance of survival. Additionally, We Are Blood serves all Williamson County hospitals, including Ascension Seton Cedar Park, Ascension Seton Williamson County, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, St. David’s Round Rock, St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin, and Dell Children’s Medical Center North Campus

That’s why, between August 22 and September 24, 2025, We Are Blood is partnering with Wilco officials and first responders to host a series of blood drives throughout Williamson County. This collaboration grew out of the need to protect our local blood supply over the Labor Day holiday, when we typically see a dip in donations.

What better way to honor our nation’s workers and their contributions to the well-being of our country than to contribute to the well-being of our fellow Central Texans?

Support Local

This year, the cities of Cedar Park, Georgetown, Hutto, Leander, Round Rock, and Taylor, along with Williamson County EMS, are all teaming up with We Are Blood to inspire locals of Williamson County to join us in this life-saving event.

Participating donors will receive a limited edition, 2025 Wilco Saves t-shirt and a voucher for an additional treat.

Help us protect our neighbors in need this Labor Day weekend. Find a drive that’s coming to a neighborhood near you and schedule your appointment.
