From April 20 to 25, we highlight the crucial role the lab and our We Are Blood technical services team plays in providing safe and reliable blood to patients at area hospitals. Because the lab is a place where diagnoses are made and medical mysteries can be solved, the theme of this year’s lab week is “The Mystery Machine of Diagnostics: Another Case Solved.”
Inspired by the iconic Scooby-Doo cartoon series, the special week is dedicated to highlighting the folks who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

The work of our technical services team goes beyond the limitations of a job description. Our dedicated staff work as a team to provide the best solutions to local patients and Central Texas hospitals.
Every day, they embark on a quest to save lives – from processing blood donations into components to ensuring the safety of the products being sent out and getting the right supplies to hospitals when they need it. Amid their daily tasks, they can take comfort in knowing that their work truly makes a difference.
