A New We Are Blood Donor Center to Open Summer 2026
Every drop counts. And soon, it will be easier than ever before to support Central Texas patients! We Are Blood is proud to announce our newest fixed-site donor center in Kyle, Texas, planned to open in Summer 2026.
Our newest donor center represents more than a building – it’s a commitment to meet the growing needs of our Central Texas communities while making it even more convenient for donors in Buda, Kyle, San Marcos and surrounding communities to save lives.
Why Kyle? Why Now?
Blood and platelet transfusions in Central Texas are at an all-time high, and the need for life-saving blood, platelets, and plasma donations continues to rise.
As our communities expand, with Kyle, Texas becoming one of the fastest growing cities in Texas, so must our ability to serve them.
A new donor center in Kyle means more capacity to serve local patients, more opportunities to donate, and ultimately, more lives saved.
That’s why our strategic plan, Every Drop Counts, includes the addition of two new donor centers by 2030 – beginning with Kyle in 2026.
Uniting the Buda, Kyle, and San Marcos Communities
Blood donation is one of the most powerful ways a community can show up for one another.
When someone donates with We Are Blood, patients treated by hospitals and EMS agencies throughout Central Texas are saved. From trauma victims and cancer patients to surgical procedures and premature babies, thousands of people depend on local donors every single day.
With the Kyle Donor Center addition, We Are Blood projects an increase of 3,000 red blood cell donations and 700 platelet donations to be added to our community blood supply in 2026 alone. That equates to roughly 11,000 MORE LIVES SAVED this year!

- A convenient weekly schedule of appointments
