You will receive an email the day following your second donation with a link to redeem your reward. The redemption process for rewards will be different depending on the monthly offering.
For HEB & Alamo rewards: These items will be shipped 1-2 working days after you submit your request. You will receive tracking information once your reward has shipped from [email protected].
For E-gift cards: A redemption code will be emailed to you 1-2 working days after you submit your request. We are excited to announce that we’re moving to a new e-card vendor with enhanced options including Visa e-cards and charitable donations.
For clothing and other items: The email you receive the day following your second donation will include a link to a Shopify page where you can order your item. You will receive tracking information once your reward has shipped.
What if I have questions or special requests?
Excluding Shopify items, all redemption links will include an area for you to include any questions or concerns you have. You can also send questions to [email protected].
Can I receive more than one reward in one month?
Yes, this is possible if you successfully donate four times in one month.
But please be aware: If you donate more than 2x/month there will be a point at which you will hit your maximum donations allowed (24 donations within a rolling 12-month period) and will no longer be able to donate and receive Two-Step rewards until you are within the limits.
6X6 Program
Will there also be changes to the 6X6 program?
The only change will be the pick-up in center option has been eliminated.
Can I receive two 6X6 rewards in the same year?
Yes, if you start donating in January and donate at least once a month for all 12 months, you can receive a reward in June and December
What if I get a 56-day deferral due to machine malfunction or no return?
You may receive credit for the month that you missed by emailing [email protected].

AB Plasma
Why do AB donors sometimes get requests for plasma instead of platelets?
AB plasma is the universal plasma donor and a very small portion of our population (about 4%). Because AB plasma is the universal plasma type, hospitals often need it for traumas, when there isn’t time to find the patient’s blood type. Because this group is such a small portion of our population, if we don’t have enough AB plasma in inventory, we cannot reach out to other blood centers around us for help. Therefore, occasionally, we need more AB plasma.
Does donating AB plasma alone count as a donation towards the Two-Step and 6X6 programs?
Yes, and while you can only donate plasma every 28 days, you can still donate platelets in-between to reach your Two-Step goal.
