Battle of the Badges is back and even bigger in 2022. This year We Are Blood is proud to announce that the competition running between June 30th and July 9th to see who can donate more blood will be between the Austin Police Department, Austin Fire Department, Austin/Travis County EMS, and Travis County Sheriff’s Office.
You can cast your “Vote” when you donate at any of our 4 donor centers or mobile drives (full schedule below) – between June 30th and July 9th to give blood. When you check-in for your donation you will vote for Austin Police, AustinFire, Austin/Travis County EMS, or Travis County Sheriff.
Your votes and donation will determine which department gets its name inscribed on this year’s trophy!
We didn’t even talk about the best part! When you donate at any of our mobile drives from the 30th through the 9th or vote at a center you will receive your own, limited edition, Battle of the Badges t-shirt!
Here is your checklist:
- Eat a full meal and stay super hydrated the day of your donation.
- If donating at one of our 4 centers, let the front desk know that you’re there for BATTLE OF THE BADGES when you arrive, and make sure you tell them which department you’re voting for!
