The City of Leander, KVUE, and We Are Blood partner to host a regional blood drive for the second year in a row.
The holidays can be a challenging time of year for blood donations, due to business and school closures, travel and family commitments. This KVUE Cares event is working to fill the critical need for donations ahead of the holiday season.
“It’s incredibly important for us to collect blood donations for patients needing blood transfusions in our community,” said Nick Canedo, We Are Blood’s vice president of community engagement. “Serving 10 counties, mobile blood drives are an important way for us to reach people across Central Texas and invite them to donate blood and benefit their own loved ones and neighbors in need.”
