As we enter this time of festivities and gratitude, we reflect on the people who add joy and meaning to our lives. Whether that’s family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, or even kind strangers passing by – every personal interaction has the potential to brighten our day.
We Are Blood is fortunate to have so many people who hold meaning to us, and we are grateful for every individual who supports us. One vital part of our support system we want to recognize during this season of thanks is our community partners. They contribute to our mission in countless ways, from hosting blood drives to providing donor incentives, and organizing volunteer teams to offering financial and in-kind support. Their assistance plays an important role in our success.
Our partners share our same guiding principle: helping the Central Texas community. If you’ve donated with We Are Blood in the past, you may have received a small token of appreciation for your donation. This is all thanks to our business partners who support our monthly donor giveaways, including Amy’s Ice Creams, Alamo Drafthouse, Thundercloud Subs, Tiff’s Treats, Whataburger, and many more! You can always find current information on which local business is partnering with us for the month on our website and social media platforms; so be sure to check those out!
Some of our largest drives are also held by community partners. You may have seen us out and about with KVUE, at Q2 Stadium with Austin FC or HEB Center with the Texas Stars, spending time with the Lakeway Community, Pflugerville Library, Bastrop’s Film Alley, or around other parts of Central Texas. Our partners are spread far and wide.
Around holidays and during the summer and winter months, we tend to see a drop in blood donations. That’s when other community partners really step up. During these difficult times of year, our hospitals, regional fire, police and EMS agencies, local non-profits like Austin Humane Society, Central Texas Food Bank, and TreeFolks, along with the Greater Austin and Central Texas YMCAs, among others, host events to ensure our community blood supply remains stable.
Thank You for Being Part of Our Family
During this season of gratitude, we wanted to take a moment to extend our heartfelt thanks to every one of our local partners for holding a special place in the We Are Blood family.
Your continuous collaboration not only supports our organization but our entire Central Texas community – a community of family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and kind strangers we pass on the street and at the grocery store. Because of your dedication, we are able to provide lifesaving blood to over 50 hospitals, EMS agencies, cancer clinics, and surgery centers across Central Texas. Thank you for making this possible!
