We Are Blood is thrilled to partner with the Austin dining institution Kerbey Lane All Day Cafe to celebrate its 45 years of service. Together this May, we celebrate community, raise awareness, and take action to boost blood donations over the Memorial Day holiday.
As a We Are Blood community, Kerbey Lane has historically provided vouchers for queso and other tasty treats to our donors as a gift of thanks for their generosity. This month, donors who make a blood or platelet donation by May 31 are able to scoop up a voucher for a free appetizer from Kerbey Lane.

With deep roots in the heart of Texas, Kerbey Lane goes above and beyond to uplift local nonprofits and rally around causes that improve the lives of Central Texans, such as We Are Blood.
Closing out the May celebrations, the two Austin originals are teaming up for a lifesaving tour, with mobile blood drives hosted at several restaurant locations from May 26 to May 31. And they are sweetening the deal! On top of the free appetizer, donors at these blood drive locations will also receive 10% of their meal. Schedule an appointment for one of our Kerbey Lane mobile drives or visit our neighboring cafe and donor center location in Round Rock.

KERBEY’S KINDNESS
In addition to teaming up for the monthly donor giveaway and blood drives, Kerbey Lane has chosen We Are Blood as their Kerbey Kindness community partner for the second quarter of 2025. Now through June, a portion of proceeds from Kerbey Lane’s monthly pancake special will go directly to support We Are Blood’s mission of providing blood, platelet, and plasma donations to medical facilities across Central Texas, making a lifesaving difference for local patients.
Since 1980, supporting local nonprofits has been central to Kerbey Lane’s mission. In 2023, they officially launched the Kerbey Kindness initiative, in which philanthropic support goes to a community organization on a quarterly basis.

Since 1951, We Are Blood has proudly served Central Texas and supported local hospitals and patients by hosting blood drives with businesses, schools, churches, and welcoming donors to four convenient donor centers. Community partners like Kerbey Lane play a key role at We Are Blood for inspiring blood donors, hosting blood drives, providing donor giveaways, organizing volunteer teams, and offering financial and in-kind support. We are grateful for this May partnership and excited to see the impact our dynamic duo can make for local patients!
