This June, We Are Blood is teaming up with the Central Texas Food Bank, Austin Humane Society, and TreeFolks to elevate the impact of our blood, platelet, and plasma donors. When you donate blood at one of our donor centers or mobile drives, you will get to choose which of our partnering nonprofits will receive a monetary donation $5 from We Are Blood on your behalf. The Central Texas Food Bank is dedicated to fighting hunger in our communities by providing meals and promoting healthy eating habits. In the past year, they distributed over 50 million meals to Central Texas families, a remarkable feat made possible by the generosity of donors and the commitment of volunteers. Their efforts ensure that individuals and families in need have access to meals and resources, creating a healthier community for all.
The Austin Humane Society, a nonprofit dedicated to animal homelessness, pet adoption and life-saving animal services in Central Texas, has been serving our local communities since 1952. Thanks to the devotion of donors and volunteers, Austin Humane Society has assisted over 11,000 animals, transforming the lives of dogs and cats and those who love them. What an incredible impact for our beloved furry friends!
TreeFolks operates across Central Texas to build stronger communities through tree planting, distributing trees, and providing education on tree care. This nonprofit also contributes to reforestation efforts following natural disasters that have devastated parts of Central Texas. With the support of thousands of volunteers, TreeFolks has planted over 3 million trees. We eagerly anticipate seeing this number grow!

Though we are four different organizations championing four diverse causes, together our missions align to create and sustain our Central Texas community. Additionally, none of our achievements would be possible without our dedicated volunteers. They are the driving force behind our ability to provide for local families, care for homeless animals, improve our environments and protect patients in need throughout Central Texas.
