Who doesn’t like a little friendly competition?
Between June 26 and July 5, blood and platelet donors who donate at one of
our four donor center locations or mobile drives (see schedule below) can cast a vote for one of our local first responder agencies.
The Battle of the Badges competition at We Are Blood is between Austin Police Department, Austin Fire Department, Austin/Travis County EMS, and Travis County Sheriff’s Office. When you check-in for your donation, you can vote for your favorite department. The team with the most votes and donations will receive this year’s trophy.
But wait, there’s more! When you donate at one of our Battle of the Badges mobile drives from June 26 through July 5 (or vote at a donor center) you will receive your own, limited edition, 2023 Battle of the Badges t-shirt!
Get in on the action:
- Make an appointment online (or call 512.206.1266) for any of the below Battle of the Badges mobile blood drives or a donation center most convenient for you.
- Eat a full meal before you arrive.
- Stay super hydrated the day of your donation.
- Donate at one of the mobile drives below. Or, if you’re donating at one of our centers, let the front desk know that you’re there for BATTLE OF THE BADGES when you arrive, and make sure you tell them which local first responder agency you’re supporting!
